No-Bake Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cheesecakes

YIELD: MAKES 6 (4-OUNCE JAR) CHEESECAKES TOTAL TIME: 2-4 HOURS

ingredients:

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

8 oreos

1 cup frozen strawberries, thawed

6 ounces mascarpone cheese, at room temperature

8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature

1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

whipped cream for topping

fresh mint for garnish

ganache

4 ounces dark chocolate, chopped

1 1/2 tablespoons heavy cream

directions:

Add oreos to a food processor, blender or simply crush them in a bag with a rolling pin - and blend until you get crumbs. In a small bowl, mix together melted butter and oreo crumbs until wet. Press a few teaspoons of the mixture into the bottom of each jar or glass, pressing down with the bottom of a thicker object (like I used an ice cream scoop) to flatten them out. Refrigerate while you make the cheesecake.

In the bowl of your electric mixer, add beat cream cheese, mascarpone and strawberries (and their juice) until combined and smooth, scraping down the sides when needed. Make sure the strawberries are pretty blendedbut if a few lumps remain, it's fine. With the mixer on low speed, slowly drizzle in the condensed milk, continuing to scrape down the sides until the mixture is very smooth. Add in vanilla extract and mix one more time to combine. Pour cheesecake mixture evenly over top of crusts. Refrigerate for 2-4 hours.

Heat the heavy cream until warm, then pour over the milk chocolate, stirring until melted to make a ganache. Remove the cheesecakes from the fridge and spoon an equal amount of the ganache over top of the strawberry cheesecake. Refrigerate for another 30-60 minutes. Serve with whipped cream on top and a garnish of mint, plus a chocolate covered strawberry if desired.

OMG what a story this was..., I Dont Know if i could have stayed around after finding out my Partner had-had an homosexual affair? But that's what Donna has to decide when she finds out that Kieth did with an old friend. And, Jarrod the other man, is married to Jackie who is pregnant no less! But he is hell bent on making a one time affair go well beyond that.

When the lies and betrayal hit the fan, two marriages are put on the chopping block, can either of them survive?

I loved this book right from the start. What a topic and so prevalent in today's society of men on the DL. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

making it on my own

This review is from: Making It on My Own (Paperback)

I loved this book. I felt like I could relate to the character's even if I've never been in their situation. I wanted to cry for her, with her, yell and scream through out the book. and in the end I was glad she released her fears.

This story was about how one can have all their plans worked out in their head and suddenly find yourself so far to the left of where you originally began your head cant stop spinning. from an orphan raised by her gram to a college student, falling in love with the wrong guy landed her pregnant and on a downhill spiral, that begins with her pregnant with a second child just as the father walks away with out warning. As her best friend takes her in, she soon finds out an abusive boyfriend, is stronger than a life long friend and her and her baby are tossed on the street. Now homeless in a city where she has no one, she is tossed from one shelter to another and has no time for new relationships as new friends tries to be the friend she desperately needs but can't afford to trust.

Just as all seems to come together for her, an apartment, the birth of her second child, a friend that's been able to respect her boundaries, her ex finds her and wants back in.

I loved this book, from page one.

This review is from: Comfort Food for the Mind, Body, and Soul (Paperback)

A Cookbook? Well how can you go wrong there? Well i guess there are ways, but Sharon didn't find any of them. From her mouth watering cover, to the unique inner design, to the many many pages of great easy to create recipes. I've used more than a few and all I can say is Kudos to Sharon. All has been a hit here with us, from banana pudding, to cobbler, to the drinks, hmmm the drinks. Too much to mention, just go and grab your copy!

A SCent of Jasmine

A Scent of Jasmine

Earnest S. Wingo

ISBN: 978-1-4415-0564-4

If you're ready to take a deep hard look into the life of an abused woman, then

this is the book for you. Told by a man, Earnest is surprisingly able to hit

several of the emotions true to a woman in her situation. Jasmine, is a woman raped, molested, shunned and deemed the black sheep of the family. While she makes money the best she can to raise her son, on her own, her parents continue to turn their noses at her, clinging to their bible the whole time. Jasmine finds herself in a pickle when she begins to let Quincy in and her way of making money is revealed to him, tempting to end what they have before it really begins. She finds herself torn between her hatred of

her parents, her love of her brother and son, and the wonderful new uncertainty she has with Quincy.

There are just so many twists and turns in this book i cant begin to tell you them all without giving you the

whole story. So just grab you a copy and read for yourself. My one and ONLY complaint with this novel, was that wish a bit more time, energy and graphics were put into the cover to make it a more professional looking product. Some of the pictures were clearly not the correct pixels and were severely distorted. Other than that the content was Excellent.

Valentine

5.0 out of 5 stars TNK Review

D.V. Hent

ISBN:978-0984-258-13

www.naughtyinkpress.com

I know you think all erotica is the same. But, trust me when i say there is a such thing as a leader in the bunch. D.V. Hent is one such author. valentine is a cleverly written, have you twitching in your seat, calling our boo to come home, yet leaving you guessing as to what's next novel. Not just a page by page, blow by blow book full of sex scenes, Valentine is full of so much suspense as you walk with Sassia, as she tries to start over from a violent past that ended in several deaths. Then a good friend loses someone close to her, Sassia has to resort to her old ways in order to protect those around her.

We TOTALLY loved this novel, it was a great read. There wasn't one page that i had to bring the high-lighter out on!
